Parks & Recreation

The City of Davenport Parks and Recreation Department strives to provide the residents of Davenport with safe and enjoyable programs, parks and facilities that will enhance the quality of life for city residents and promote an overall sense of community. We are committed to providing quality recreational services and welcome your comments, suggestions and ideas.

Tom Fellows Community Center
The Tom Fellows Community Center is located at 207 North Blvd. West, Davenport, FL 33837 and available for rental 7 days a week. Interested individuals can call Edgar at the Tom Fellows Event Center at 863-588-1130, ext. 148, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm (closed for lunch). Davenport Fire Department
The Davenport Fire Department was formed in 1926 and operated as an all-volunteer department until 2004. In 2009, the department restructured in order to provide the best possible service to its citizens. Today the department has a full time fire chief, six full-time firefighters, three part-time firefighters and 12 reserve firefighters operating out of one station. DFD’s fire apparatus consists of Chief 241, Engine 241, Squad 241 and Brush 241.
